the bit that ruins this for me personally, is the overpowering 'halo' glow around the building, it is, in my mind, just too much!!

I tried to shoot this shot yesterday, and gave up..........it is a mutha of a shot to take........and I can understand why it might be a touch oof...........

The Red Arrows fly for the Royal Air Force in United Kingdom............ in 1964, the Red Pelicans flying six Jet Provost T Mk 4s became the first team to represent the Royal Air Force. In that same year a team of five yellow Folland Gnat jet trainers, known as the Yellowjacks, was formed at No 4 Flying Training School at Royal Air Force Valley in north Wales, led by Flight Lieutenant Lee Jones. The following year Jones was posted to the Central Flying School (CFS) to form the Red Arrows, The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (RAFAT), the formal name of the Red Arrows.

kyricom, shots like this, with this kind of equipment are possible. The scope tracks the planet or system it is looking at, which means the scope is moving very slowly too, and so the exposure will be as one taken from nearer the subject.I had a Meade scope a few years ago, with a tracking system, and what you can see is quite remarkable.
