I pointed this out to someone else before, I love the photo but the flash here is too obvious. It is very hard to use the flash well, and it takes ages to learn. Try to soften the light by using a diffuser (maybe even a homemade one using a piece of paper), or shoot from a further distance, however apart from that the photo is very interesting, well composed and the perspective is original. Thumbs up! Well Done!

I think that this has reached the ethical boundaries and I agree with the rest, that this photo should have never been taken, nor should it have been posted on the internet!

I am not sure, however if its used very gently just to soften the reflection, then I am sure that this would be allowed.

I dont know what to comment about this photo, except for I agree that there is a tiny bit of noise going on (but it was probably dark, and a high iso was needed - I understand the circumstances). But other than that PERFECTION. Lovely timing, great composition, lighting GREAT! Well Done!

I think that this photo is a tiny bit too bright (maybe the flash used was a little too strong) TIP: If you have a DSLR with a stock flash, you can make a homemade diffuser using an a4 piece of white paper. Just cover the flash with it and the light will be a bit softer . But apart from that I like the composition and the detail in this photo. Well Done!

The textures and contrasts are VERY interesting here. This photo has deep effect and also it is quite mysterious to look at. It makes you think: "What is this?". I think that vampurashu misunderstood the description. The picture is ethical, because the dog is still alive on this photo. I am very sorry for your loss author and the picture definitely fits the theme.
