Just how did you take this shoot?..........no noise at all, and very sharp!!
yes, I was just wondering how you took this, it is almost perfect!
This is a beautiful shot of the moon (should have been in last week's moon contest)... but 240,000 miles away is not especially "super close"
I took it using this http://www.scopetrader.com/Photography/Photos/8491785.jpg
wow, that is some wonderful piece of equipment.................!
I can see some black and gray color change around a moon. as it is being repaired in the paint, whether it's my monitor or?
It's actually a mosaic of several individual photos - the black point is different in each one, so will show up differently around the perimeter
it is a great shot, but has some repair work been done to the black, because, as photovocre says, there is a definate ring around the perimeter. You say about it being a mosaic of different shots, just how does this work to make this. Are the shots overlayed over each other to build up the finish image.
Yes, that's how it is made up - the telescope can only image a small section of the moon in each photo
right, so you stitch them together to make one image, got it!..........but what is the light ring around the perimeter, is it just an attempt to clean up the background.........
Yes - a pretty poor one I think I'll re-visit that.......
as the moon itself is so good, is it necessary to clean up!.what is the bg like really.
ummmm... just how much editing has been done to this shot? We don't normally allow background replacement etc.
It's not background replacement as such - more just levels adjustment to balance individual frames
