This is the Kallimarmaron, or Panathinaikon Stadion, in Athens, Greece, venue of the first contemporary Olympic Games, back in 1896.
Couldn't have a full view of the place, as a group of (what else?) Japanese tourists stood almost in line alonside its closed gates.
Tried to get closer and explain to them that I was working for an (in)famous international magazine, (moi, the shameless liar!) but we ended up taking bows for about five minutes.
