Nature has some amazing defensives, this week take your best image of a seed pod, that hard protective shell that contains the maturing seeds of a plant. No animals or people allowed - keep is natural.

this grows from a ground palm my father has planted in the backyard. its really waxy, and the get the white tuft before it seeds.

The dried up empty seed pods of a native New Zealand flax called Harakeke. As spring becomes summer the old spikes will soon be replaced with tall new stems adorned with stunning orange lily flowers providing food and nectar to the birds and bees.
