For this contest show us something that was originally unique to your homeland or the country where you now live. An icon or custom that people associate with a certain country or culture. It can be something that can be found, seen or bought elsewhere but it must have it's origins in your part of the world. It may be an object, an animal, fish or bird, a plant, a food, a mineral, even a dance or an item of clothing. No buildings or monuments allowed.

New Zealanders are known as Kiwis. When I first came to New Zealand it was known as Chines Gooseberry, but we have made it our own and I think improved on it.

I don't know is there any connection between Bulgarian and Scotland pipe because there is 2000 km distance, but this i one traditional Bulgarian instrument.

Philippine Tarsier is an endangered tarsier species endemic to the Philippines. Bohol is particularly popular for it. One of the smallest primates in the world measuring 3.35 to 6.30 in in height and between 80 and 160 grams in weight for males. They are shy nocturnal insectivorous primates. They are considered endangered.
