Photography contest - moon rise
Please read the CONTEST GUIDELINES before participating in this contest.
Contest Goal:
We see lots of sunsets and sunrises, now it is time for night photography, capture the moon as it rises above the horizon, the colours as it floats through the clouds or as it sits above us as a crystal ball. Limitations: no people, or animals or buildings. Good luck!

Lodd: Are we allowed to make " a sandwich" with two raw files in the camera? or is that consider as over editing? Is that really a problem? (364 days ago) nofue: I think the moon also raises over NYC. And as the moon is lit rock, it's fairly bright, so light pollution won't matter even in brightly lit cities. (363 days ago) outbackjack: I managed to get a photo of the moon with detail using a canon powershot S2IS a mid range basic camera so you don't have to have great equipment to do the job (363 days ago) kyricom: Ummm, snappler... unless you told us, how would we know if the moon is rising or setting? There's lots of contests I can't do because we DON'T have buildings around (there's not a lot of graffiti, for example, on all the cows around me) 
(363 days ago) nofue: Geez, afaik there is public transportation to commute to a place where you can see the moon rising -- Central Park in NYC f.e. Shooting the moon close to some of the skyscrapers should be quite a picture... And for the graffiti I had to drive some 60 kms… (363 days ago) mellanieb: ha ha maxgraph ... i thought I found another with one of my shots it had the moon and a blue planet - not sure what happened there. (360 days ago) Lefa: Bad contest for me, my teeth start itching and I get the wild urge to go out on the balcony and start howling... and the police department is right across the street sooo...
