Contest comments:

friiskiwi: men only, or women too? (2 years and 288 days ago)
kyricom: Actually, the word "man" is gender neutral, a shortened version of "Human." Originally, "wifman" referred to women, and eventually evolved into "wife." "Waepman" referred to men, and the "waep" was dropped, although interstingly, can still be seen in "weapon." By this, it seems women would be included in "man." (2 years and 288 days ago)
nofue: From the original suggestion: "No women!" (2 years and 288 days ago)
xstg: Come on, let's not be sexist, lol. Guys. Really. (2 years and 288 days ago)
kyricom: I don't see ANYTHING in the contest goal that says "No women!" Women work too. Women now very commonly work in what were traditionally "men's jobs," and the term "man" is gender neutral (as outlined above). I agree, why be sexist? I'm certainly not red flagging a shot just because it has a woman in it. (2 years and 288 days ago)
nofue: No complaints from me -- I love to see women working (2 years and 288 days ago)
Contest Moderator: So when we have a contest woman at work, we are going to enter men. Come guys, the title says it all, Men at Work, wait for another chance to enter your women at work photos. Lets keep it as simple as that. (2 years and 287 days ago)
kyricom: sorry... "man" is gender neutral. I'm not red flagging anything with women in it. (2 years and 287 days ago)
friiskiwi: I have no complaints about making it men only, just wanted clarification. Looking forward to 'woman at work' (2 years and 286 days ago)

Work Mates - created by Gubbles

Work Mates photo
final rank: 34 out of 44 (final score: 49.1 %)

I came across this elderly farmer and his faithful working dog whilst out driving. When I stopped and asked if I could take his photo he stared at me vacantly. His wife came out and explained he was "deaf as a plank" but really amazed me when she said he was 92 years old and still working a full day on his farm. He was a true gentleman as was his dog.
Just goes to show you can't beat early to bed, early to rise, fresh country air, exercise and plenty of fertiliser! It's certainly worked for this man!

Steamtrain turntable - created by madamemonty

Steamtrain turntable photo
final rank: 35 out of 44 (final score: 49.1 %)

In Tasmania there is a train trip between Stahan and Queenstown. The train from Stahan is a steam train which goes around half way then you change onto a rack and pinion train. The steam locomotive has to be turned around on a manual turntable... "Put your backs into it lads!"
