nofue: Maybe it's not so much of an issue what a string is, but what the final picture looks like. D'q-ing somebody because she went for what may be considered a ribbon rather than a string doesn't make much sense imo. I think this is about (artistic) photography, not about creating a visual wiki, showing what a string can look like -- as long as that 'string' is made of threaded fibers. Bass strings are quite thick and not even textile, and yet considered strings...
