jerostone: Great idea, only that it exludes a good number of contestants, like myself, who are not native speakers of the English language.

jeanine2: are there any nursery rhymes you know Jerostone? No necessarily English..

jeanine2: Not necessarily English**

jerostone: Of-course I do! I was born a little after the end of the Stone Age, tho some memories still linger on! But who could tell what my image stands for, if they don't know the (Greek, of all things,) rhyme. All I know in English is the "ini mini mani mo" thing, but where am I supposed to find me a monkey, let alone grabbing the bugger by the toe. Just kidding

Lefa: I remember "twinkle, twinklw littlw star, how I wonder where I am" but thats it

outbackjack: well you have the internet, but I for one would like to hear a nursery ryhme from another culture. Surely you have some songs or poems you share with kids when they are young.

mellanieb: Do we red flag the ones that tell us the title of the nursery rhyme, even if they are good shots - though giving the title either in the photo name or in image gives the fun away ... so!

friiskiwi: I think the nursery rhyme, or line should be included. After all not everybody knows the 'English' ones, and could be red flagged, or voted low, because 'we' don't get it.

karaflazz: What exatly is a nursery rhyme...i have no idea....Some one PLEASE explain!!!
(2 years and 336 days ago)
jerostone: Something like a poem for children, its content either hilarious or didactic, but then again some of our fellow contestants that are native speakers of the English language can provide a more accurate interpretation of the term

jeanine2: Mod check out http://www.rhymes.org.uk/ for some examples of popular nursery rhymes

karaflazz: Thank you guys.

kyricom: I think making people guess might be hard, especially for non-English speakers. How about if we put the rhyme below the shot? Then we could learn examples from all different cultures.
(2 years and 335 days ago)
Epazia: i like kyricoms idea then we can learn some new ones
(2 years and 335 days ago)
serious: I agree with kyricoms and epazia that way all cultures can be involved
(2 years and 335 days ago)
Epazia: i wasn't really follow the guideline strictly so thats good to hear and more fun thank you Mod =D
(2 years and 335 days ago)
Epazia: Those people that did came up with some really good ones and could add their rhymes
