This shot was meant to be seen large. I used selctive focus and deepth of field to capture only the front of the bangles in focus. View the High rez and you will see detail for sure.

What is your set up for this shot? How did you get the ring to stand up?

To answer all questions. I shoot on smooth white paper. I take care in making sure the background is 255 so it goes white. A small dot of hot glue is my little secret to making it stand. Alot of the development happens in camera raw. My lighting settup is simple (large softbox overhead and hard side fill), its the reflectors and other light modifiers that is the complex part. I do not use light tents or other sorts or things since I cannot control the blacks which effects the diamonds. Not flying just alot of hard work.

The theme was foreground and background consideration I thought. The candies in front and in back would fit just fine.
