Taking moon shots is one of my favorite things to do. I like to catch it on
various nights. Sometimes I am without my tripod, such as the night I took this
one... but eventually I got it. I took it with the 24 optical and 4x digital
zoom that my camera offers... just a point and shoot camera.
I bought this camera because of its ability to take moon shots.

Another great night for moon shooting. This one was on August 5, 2009. Because
it was nearly a full moon I was not able to get craters.
This was my point and shoot camera at 24 optical zoom / 4x digital zoom. A
tripod was used with this one.

Yup, point and shoot, no telescope. It is a Nikon Coolpix P-90. Its a super zoom which allows for stuff like this
