I found this tree trunk letter box today when out driving around the countryside
for my job.
My Frizzel roosters Neville and Trevor or their preferred handles Nev and Trev
are brothers and inseparable. Unlike most roosters they get on very well with
hardly a cross crow between them.
All that's missing is a witch ( she was behind the camera ;).
A show kitchen at one of the joiners I call on in my job as a laminate
merchandiser.
Don't let any Aussies try and tell you Pavlova is an Australian dessert because
they'll be telling porkies. Our mates across the ditch have a habit of stealing
our success stories and calling them their own. Crowded House, Russell Crow and
Phar Lap spring to mind. The Pavlova was created and named in honour of the
Russian ballet dancer Anna Pavlova when she performed in New Zealand back in the
1920s. The Pavlova (or Pav as we affectionately refer to it) is a cake made of
meringue with a crispy crust and a soft, light centre. Traditionally decorated
with whipped cream and Kiwi fruit, sliced peaches, passionfruit or strawberries
it's a firm favourite with we Kiwis (and Aussies) for special and not so special
occasions. To make a "good" pav is a talent to be proud of and
generally secretly envied by those who can't. The serving in the photo was from
one we enjoyed tonight celebrating my husband's birthday.

Nice shot. Our old German Shepard and cat were like this, but I never got a shot of it

And the cat is grinning as she knows the dog won't leave. Perfect story telling.

(2 years and 215 days ago)Who said cats and dogs don't get along. This contest is getting that old myth shattered, since you can find plenty of excepions to the rule here.
(2 years and 214 days ago)I'm sorry to disagree with you, nofue. This is sheer cuddling and love.
Very nice.
